A new Wingstop is coming to Kathleen Road in Lakeland.
Polk County permit records show a tenant fit-out filed Oct. 13 for a Wingstop restaurant at 7368 Kathleen Rd.
A fit-out means the restaurant is going into an existing storefront rather than a new building.
The permit was just received by the county, so this one is early.

It would be Lakeland’s third Wingstop. The other two are on US-98 North and South Florida Avenue.
Wingstop doesn’t have a store page up for this location yet.
That makes two new Wingstops in Polk in three weeks.
We reported the first Wingstop coming to Auburndale, on Havendale Boulevard, on Sept. 28.
No opening date has been announced.
We found this by monitoring Polk County’s public permit portal.
