Planet Fitness is coming to Highlands Plaza on Lakeland Highlands Road.
Planet Fitness already has a "coming soon" page live for the location, listed as Lakeland (Highlands Plaza), FL, at 2914 Lakeland Highlands Road. The page advertises a Pre-Grand Opening Sale and invites people to sign up for opening updates.
The Polk Squeeze also found two sign permits filed with the City of Lakeland for the same plaza, backing up the timeline.
Both permits were filed July 13 and are still under review with the city.
Highlands Plaza is the Winn-Dixie anchored shopping center on Lakeland Highlands Road.
No opening date has been announced.
We found this by monitoring the City of Lakeland's public permit portal, and confirmed it against Planet Fitness's own site.
