Chick-fil-A is setting up shop in Lake Wales.
The City of Lake Wales announced this week that the restaurant chain received site plan approval from the city's growth management department. The new location will be built on US 27, next to the existing Wawa.
The site sits on roughly 1.9 acres and was purchased in May 2024 for $1,575,000 by IAG Partners Lake Wales LLC, according to Lake Wales News. A building permit application for the project has since been received by the city.
Chick-fil-A already operates locations in Bartow, Davenport, Lakeland, and Winter Haven.
According to the city, this Chick-fil-A is the fifth restaurant chain recently attracted to Lake Wales. The others are Slim Chickens, Panera Bread, Starbucks, and Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, all landing along the same stretch of US 27.
No opening date has been announced.
