Everyone loves coffee.
So while we've already had:
I knew it was time for The Best Coffee Shops In Winter Haven!
Winter Haven doesn't have quite as many as Lakeland, but there have been a few popping up, and one or two more look like they're coming.
But, with or without newcomers, the best coffee shop in Winter Haven came in as a CLEAR winner among locals, with our runner up being a dominant favorite as well.
As I mentioned in past Best Food In Polk coffee rundowns, I love coffee and coffee shops in general.
I have been building businesses and writing online since I was 18 years old; so coffee shops have been my second office.
That, and the fact that, at this point, I probably have caffeine running through my blood — and it makes sense that this is one of my favorite categories to write about.
But, as always, this isn’t just a list I’ve put together based on my own preferences…
This list was built from HUNDREDS of votes, from locals just like you.

We live walking distance from Downtown Auburndale, so we are VERY excited to have the best coffee shop right up the road — and it has become our go-to for both a quick drink, a pastry (or even protein cookie) and/or a stop to do some work outside of the house.
First Place: Haven Coffee
The Best Coffee Shop In Winter Haven, Florida
Haven Coffee Roasters — Winter Haven & Auburndale (Downtowns)
Coming in at number one is Haven Coffee Roasters.
And this one really wasn't close...
Haven is CLEARLY the local favorite in Winter Haven, and we agree.
Last week I wrote a full review for Haven Coffee for Mike & Katie's Polk Food Quest and explained all the reasons that make Haven the GOAT for coffee destinations in Winter Haven [and Polk County in general].
Haven recently opened a second location in Downtown Auburndale (which is the coffee shop I frequent most being that Katie and I are walking distance), and also announced a new drive-through location in Winter Haven as well.
Their dominance is not only deserved, but expanding!
Locals said:
- “The coffee is the best I've had.”
- “The owner roasts the beans they serve on site.”
- “Their monthly specials are always so good.”
Tack that on with the fact that they've literally won an award for having the best coffee, and they're a force to be reckoned with.
Second Place: Richard's Coffee
The Second Best Coffee Shop In Winter Haven, Florida
Richard's Coffee — 330 Avenue A NW, Winter Haven
Coming in at number two on our best coffee shops in Winter Haven is Richard's Coffee, attached to the Winter Haven Library right in downtown.
Richard's has been around for 30 years (celebrating it's 30th anniversary in July 2026); so they have definitely built quite a local following.
Even though new spots are coming into Winter Haven like Concord, Foxtail (and already dominated by Haven); people who go to Richard's are so bought in, they tend to not go anywhere else.
With voters sharing:
- “Richard’s.”
- “Richard’s downtown.”
- “Richard’s by the library.”
Richard's also came in at number five on our list of the best coffee shops in all of Polk. And as I mentioned there: they didn't necessarily have people raving about the coffee or the food; but they did have a ton of consistency and people raving about the vibes (the location, the people, the owners, etc.).
Third Place: Concord Coffee
The Third Best Coffee Shop In Winter Haven, Florida
Concord Coffee — Lakeland (Dixieland) and Winter Haven (Downtown)
Coming in as the number three coffee shop in Winter Haven is Concord Coffee.
Concord Coffee has been dominating our coffee shop lists, and recently made their way into Winter Haven as well.
They came in at number one on our Lakeland list AND our Polk County list (though, they do have a bit of an advantage having started in Lakeland and already having one in Winter Haven as well; so I'm excited to see them and Haven continue to push for the top slot).
Voters said things like:
- “Concord is best.”
- “Concord has the best tasting coffee.”
- “If you actually like craft coffee, it’s Concord without a doubt.”
Concord is one of my personal favorites, with their overnight oats being one of the big draws that get me back in; as well as the lighter branding that makes it easy to want to stay a while.
Fourth Place: Honeycomb Bread Bakers
The Fourth Best Coffee Shop In Winter Haven, Florida
Honeycomb Bread Bakers — 140 6th St SW, Winter Haven, FL 33880
Coming in at number four is Honeycomb Bread Bakers.
While many people know Honeycomb for its incredible pastries and fresh bread, plenty of locals also swear by the coffee.
Several locals specifically called out the caramel iced latte, making Honeycomb an easy recommendation if you're looking for both breakfast and a great cup of coffee.
Voters said things like:
- "Honeycomb! The best pastries."
- "Honeycomb has the best caramel iced latte."
- "Organic and the best pastries!"
If coffee and fresh baked goods are your perfect combo, Honeycomb belongs near the top of your list.
Fifth Place: ECHO Coffee House
The Fifth Best Coffee Shop In Winter Haven, Florida
Echo Coffee House — 5624 Cypress Gardens Blvd, Winter Haven
Rounding out our top five is ECHO Coffee House.
ECHO may be a little quieter than some of the bigger names on this list, but it showed up consistently across the board.
Locals appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and quality coffee, making it one of Winter Haven's hidden gems.
Voters said things like:
- "ECHO Coffee House."
- "ECHO & Richard's."
- "ECHO Coffee has quality bagged coffee for gifting."
If you're looking to skip the crowds and support a local coffee shop, ECHO is well worth a visit.

I normally reserve my third spot, but I'm very confident with this list, having been to just about every shop on it.
Haven is my go-to for all the reasons I wrote in our Haven review here, and I don't see that changing anytime soon — especially being walking distance.
