A pickleball facility is coming to Lakeland.
We found a commercial building permit filed with the City of Lakeland for "Baseline Pickleball Facility" at 905 E Rose St.
The project carries a $2.5 million job value and is listed as a commercial remodel.
The permit was submitted Sept. 21 and is still listed as Under Review, so it's in the early stages.
The same address also has a commercial roof permit, submitted Sept. 10 and now issued, with a $175,815 job value.
LALtoday reported almost exactly a year ago that Baseline would include four indoor courts, at least four outdoor courts, a kitchen, a bar and dining areas, with an opening targeted for early 2027.
This permit suggests the project is moving forward.
No updated opening date has been announced.
