Lakeside Village is getting a Pilates studio.
The Polk Squeeze found a building permit filed with the City of Lakeland for a BODYBAR Pilates buildout at 1558 Town Center Drive. The permit was submitted August 12 and carries a $248,366 construction value. It's currently under review.
The property owner on the permit is listed as CR Lakeside Village LLC, tied to Continental Realty Corporation, which owns and manages the shopping center.

Franchise owners Luis Diaz and Fausto Ordonez signed a lease for 2,585 square feet at the center. Diaz works in clinical research administration. Ordonez is a stroke neurologist practicing locally.
This will be the first BODYBAR Pilates location in the greater Lakeland region.
BODYBAR runs seven class formats across four Pilates apparatuses. Performance, Agility, Strength, Fusion, Precision, Reset, and Balance. Classes use the Reformer, Tower, EXO Chair, and jump board.
The studio joins Lakeside Village's wellness lineup, which already includes Daydreams Day Spa, Pure Barre, and Planet Smoothie.
An early 2027 opening is being targeted. No exact date has been announced.
We found this by monitoring Lakeland's public permit portal and cross-checking it against the franchise's own announcement.
